An Esport Pod demo is a walkthrough of the pod hardware, the deployment options and how the program would fit your school, base or campus, followed by a written quote within one business day. You'll see the Esport Pod by Sports Media, Inc. in action and leave with a clear picture of what ordering involves.
Key takeaways
- The demo covers hardware, setup, training and sponsorship support.
- Bring your questions on space, power, IT and curriculum fit.
- You'll receive a written quote within one business day of the demo.
- Pods are sold in deployments of 10, 20 or 30 units.
What happens during an Esport Pod demo?
We walk you through the pod itself, how it's installed, how staff are trained and how sponsorship support works. You'll see the Alienware PC, the 38-inch curved monitor, the Razer chair, headset and camera, and the Thrustmaster controls in context.
It's a conversation, not a pitch deck marathon. We'd rather spend the time on your questions than read slides to you. If you tell us who's attending (principal, CTE director, IT lead, athletic director), we'll tailor the discussion to what each person cares about.
Who should attend the demo?
Bring the people who will say yes and the people who will say "wait, what about...". That usually means an administrator, a program lead, someone from IT and, if you can, a student or two.
- Administrators: budget cycle, purchasing path and program goals.
- Athletic or CTE directors: how the pod supports teams, clubs and coursework.
- IT leads: network needs, device management and the modem and built-in Wi-Fi setup.
- Facilities staff: doorways, elevators and the standard 110V outlet requirement.
What should you prepare before the demo?
A short list of constraints is enough. Know roughly where the pods would live, how many students you hope to serve and whether a sponsor is involved.
The pod is a compact single-seat station on wheels. It fits through standard doors and into elevators, and a projector slot mirrors the screen to a classroom wall. Measuring one doorway and locating one outlet before the call saves a surprising amount of back and forth later.
What will the quote include?
You'll get a written quote within one business day of the demo. Deployments are sold in packs of 10, 20 or 30 pods, at $300,000, $600,000 or $900,000, which works out to about $30,000 per pod.
Those figures include installation, training and sponsorship support from Sports Media, Inc. Optional items, such as VR ($1,499), a T248 wheel set ($599.99) and a TSS handbrake ($285), are listed separately. If you want any of them, say so during the demo so they appear in the written quote.
How does sponsorship come up in a demo?
We'll explain what sponsors can receive, including digital rights, NIL access for student athletes, intellectual property, pod usage rights and broadcast or OTT rights. We'll also cover how the Fanz network, a community of 200k+ across Twitch, YouTube and social, can support a sponsor's reach.
You don't need a sponsor lined up. Some programs arrive with one in mind and some don't. Either way, it helps to know how the sponsorship side works before you decide on a deployment size. You can read more on our sponsorship page.
One practical tip: send us your questions ahead of time. If your IT lead wants to know how the modem and built-in Wi-Fi behave on a filtered school network, or your facilities manager wants to confirm doorway clearance, we can come prepared with specifics rather than general answers. That makes the hour far more useful for everyone in the room.
After the demo, share the written quote with your finance office and program leads. If new questions come up, write to admin@fanz.gg and we'll respond. There's no pressure to decide on the spot, and a good decision usually takes a few conversations anyway.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a demo take?
We don't promise a fixed length, because it depends on how many questions your group brings. A focused conversation covers the hardware, deployment sizes, training and sponsorship. If your team needs a longer technical discussion with IT, we can make time for that too.
When will I get a quote after the demo?
You'll receive a written quote within one business day of the demo. We can't promise other timelines, such as delivery or installation dates, until we've talked through your site and deployment size. Those details are confirmed with you directly as part of the quote conversation.
Do I need to commit to buy during the demo?
No. The demo is for gathering information, and the written quote gives you something concrete to bring to your budget or purchasing process. Take the time your organization needs. We're happy to answer follow-up questions from other stakeholders at admin@fanz.gg.
Can I request a demo for a military or library site?
Yes. Esport Pods serve high schools, community colleges, universities, DoDEA schools, military MWR centers, JROTC and ROTC programs, libraries and Native American land schools. Tell us your site type when you book, and we'll tailor the conversation to it.
Ready to see it in person? Book a demo and we'll set up the conversation. You can browse the pod hardware first, or contact us with questions before you book.
